We would like to share a wonderful new Eucharistic and contemplative devotion with you! This devotion is the fruit of prayer, which came from time spent in adoration, listening to the Eucharistic Lord. There, Our Lord taught the prayers, which aim to prepare a soul for the reception of Holy Communion, to help it know better Who it is who enters. Then, after Holy Communion, in contemplation, the Lord asks us to consider the time spent with Him in those precious moments together. He is looking to find rest, refreshment, silence and delight in every soul who receives Him, all over the world until the end of time.
This devotion is based in Genesis 18 and the hospitality Abraham and Sarah offered to God. The goal of this devotion is to help a soul become a good innkeeper of the interior house. Our Lord comes to the soul, as the Divine House Guest, in Holy Communion; body, blood, soul and Divinity. The communicant therefore takes in Our Lord, at the door of the house, and offers Him welcome and warm hospitality! We are invited to become another Abraham, another good listening Sarah for the Lord of Hosts. Offering what we can to the One who has given all for us.
By praying the chaplet, the soul begins to be concerned with the things of God and takes seriously the miraculous fact that he/she is a Christ bearer. The soul in silent contemplation seeks to cultivate a robust and properly ordered interior life. This devotion is a gift and an opportunity to grow in intimate friendship with Our Lord, His Mother and His Saints!
On the prayer card you will find the prayers and the chaplet printed. The image of the Divine House Guest of Souls, on the cover, was commissioned in 2023.
The Divine House Guest of Souls devotion was approved by the Archdiocese of Boston in August of this year, 2024. It has received the Nihil Obstat and the Imprimatur.
